The road to get there

glassblowingcanada

We ventured out the morning of September 7th, driving 8 hours to reach the small heart warming town of Fox Creek, in Northern Alberta.

During our 5 day stay we were able to connect with all students, showing off our glass skills while teaching them about the art, science and team work behind this medium. When the bell rang at 3:17pm on Friday the kids got to go home excited about their day and involvement of live glass blowing.  It was Saturday when the parents got to see what the fuss was all about. We got to share the experience of a small town coming together to make life more interesting.  Saturday was the Community fun run followed by a BBQ, crafts, art, fun, and of course HOT GLASS!

It was such an incredible journey, our hearts were touched with beautiful images that grade 6 class drew for us after their observations of our glass show.

Although the trip was short it definitely left a mark on our hearts forever the sound of laughter and look of AH as there eyes lite up! These are the reason for our show! What we do is create idea through glass and knowing this makes us love our job everyday.
